Yoga Poornima

This auspicious announcement is for everyone. After a great many requests, Sri Swamiji (Swami Satyananda Saraswati) has kindly revealed his date of birth.

Sri Swamiji was born at 12.04 a.m. on Poornima (full moon day) in the month of Marga Sheersha (November/December), 1923, at Almora, Uttaranchal. Therefore, in future the holy Poornima of Marga Sheersha will be known as Yoga Poornima among all Sri Swamiji’s devotees.
