On the auspicious occasion of the Sannyasa Diksha Centenary of Sri Swami Sivananda Saraswati, the Divine Life Society, Rishikesh, hosted a Spiritual Conference from 29th May to 1st June 2024. Many learned scholars and sannyasins were invited to speak on the dharma of sannyasa.
Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati and Swami Satyasangananda Saraswati travelled from Munger and Rikhia to participate in this special celebration. On 31st May, Swami Niranjanananda spoke about his connection with Swami Sivananda which had always been nurtured by the love Sri Swami Satyananda had for his Guru.
On 1st June, Guru Paduka Poojan was conducted by senior swamis of the Divine Life Society along with Swami Niranjan and Swami Satyasangananda. All guests present were also invited to offer oblations and participate in the abhishek, a touching gesture reflecting Swami Sivanandaji’s spirit of generosity and all encompassing universal love. The occasion concluded with kirtans and Ganga aarti at Vishwanath Ghat offered by the office bearers of the Divine Life Society, Swami Niranjanananda and Swami Satyasangananda.
