Swami Satyananda made three sankalpas. Two of them have become a reality and have fructified in 2010. The first sankalpa was the opening of Annapoorna Kshetram which was inaugurated on Diwali, 6th November. With the support of everyone it will soon begin to function on a daily basis. The second sankalpa was the establishment of Sannyasa Peeth which was formalized on the day of Swami Satyananda's Bhu Samadhi, 6th December.
The third sankalpa is the development of a home for the aged in Rikhia. This will not be a separate institution for the elderly or a home as in the West. Those facilities already exist for the elders of the region who come every month to the ashram to receive their monthly stipend, their clothes and the necessary articles for day-to-day use. In future, we will provide them with the right and vital support. We will develop the third sankalpa and see it fructify in the next few months.
